BIS EVENT – How to Network to Get Ahead
August 9, 2017 at 5:30 pm - 7:00 pm
$20
Networking 101
We’re always told that networking is vital no matter where we are in our careers or what position we are in, but why? And how?!? Join current BJCC President, Nathan Schokker, along with award winning business owner Tara-Jay Rimmer as they breakdown the basics of networking. The do’s and dont’s, and how to make it work for you face to face and online.
- Nathan Schokker, current BJCC President and networking enthusiast. Nathan’s enthusiasm to meet new people is clear to see and during his time as BJCC President, running his own business as well as Ambassador for The Brisbane Club sees him meeting with hundreds of new faces every month. After plenty of failed attempts and a few funny stories Nathan’s learnt how to gain value through networking.
- Joining Nathan is Tara-Jay Rimmer, who is the founder of The Van That Can. Tara-Jay is the Winner of Brisbane Young Entrepreneur of the year 2016 and most recently (July 2017) voted to 20 business leaders under 40 by QBM, as well as voted top 10 Emerging Leaders and top 20 Female Entrepreneurs Under 40 from Startup Daily. Tara-Jay also writes for various publications including The Collective Magazine, Kochies Business Builders and SBS as well as mentoring start-ups and young entrepreneurs.
